Year 2020-21 proved to be an year of experience in adversity. The world was shocked by the pandemic. So did we.
But we mustered courage and set things right choosing a new path to reach the goal. Online learning became the
new normal to meet the objectives of education. Nava Bharat tackled the rough times and conducted all the possible
institutional events to give a wholesome education to the students in the Covid-19 pandemic period. The attempt
was to bridge the gap for both students and teachers. Our struggle became our strength. Nava Bharat proved its
might even in adversity.
The plethora of events held during the pandemic academic year are furnished below.
All the events went online with perfect planning and execution.The final beneficiaries being our students.
EVENTS CHARONICLE –YEAR 2020-21
Month of May,2020 Nava Bharat staff donated generously to theneedy for meeting the basic food material
during the steep surge of Covid -19 pandemic.

Devi, Social Studies faculty, NBHS retired from their service after a long period of dedicated work

Tri-colour was hoisted on school campus on Independence day & virtual celebrations were held marking the
National festival on 15 August,2020.

CCA competitions were held for all classes on online mode to bring out latent talents among students. Story
telling, Elocution, Fancy dress, Essay writing, Drawing & painting, Rhymes etc were included for competitions
at various levels.
Skill Classes in Music, Classical Dance, Drawing &Calligraphy were launched after the school hours for
interested students on Zoom Platform. The classes went on year long.

Teachers’ Day was celebrated on 5 Sept, 2020 virtually. Online Quiz, Vegetable carving and a few entertainment
programmes added flavor in the celebrations.

The 10 edition of Annual Grand Parents’ Day was celebrated on 13 September,2020 virtually by the Class
II students. Grandparents were the special guests on the occasion. Students entertained them with their
songs & smiles.

Hindi Diwas was celebrated on 14 September,2020 on online mode.
The Father of the Nation Gandhiji was paid rich tributes on 2 October, 2020 to mark his birth anniversary.

Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was celebrated on 31 October focusing on Unity and Strength for nation building.

Classes IV & V of Middle zone participated in Virtual Science Exhibition – Vishwa Vaignanika Vedika- on 10 &
11 of November, 2020.

A Science talent show on virtual platform titled ‘Avishkar –Innovation & You’ was arranged for a week in
November,2020 for senior students to ignite the innovative skills & scientific temperament among the young
minds.
“Quizvid” – a yearlong weekly virtual quiz was launched for all classes by the Social Sciences department on

On 14 November, 2020 , Children’s Day was celebrated virtually to kindle the joy in children in these gloomy
days.
National Constitution Day was observed on 26 November, 2020. It was organized by Social Science

Department.

NBPS conducted Maths Quiz on 22 November, 2020 paying tributes to the Mathematics Genius Sri Srinivasa
Ramanujam. Maths Dept held various virtual activities for all classes.
