ANNUAL REPORT
2020-21
The academic year 2020-21 was a challenging year for all the schools in the country. It commenced with a fearful
lockdown in the month of April’20.
Education has changed dramatically, with the distinctive rise of e-learning, whereby teaching is undertaken remotely and
on digital platforms. NBPS students navigated online learning, spent more time with their families, mastered zoom and still
managed to socialise with friends. They have been part of history this year for sailing through the challenges that it has
posed to us. Of course we could not have managed without the continued support from our parents community who played
pivotal role in making the children ready to adapt to a different way of learning. We profusely thank our staff for all the
hard work they have done this year to help and support our students through this trying year.
Over the past four decades, NBPS has grown from strength to strength and is now a leading school in the region. Academic
standards are comparatively high, as proved by our CBSE board results. We are proud to say that our students’ stellar
performance at the Class X results has indeed given us plenty of reasons to celebrate. All 104 students who appeared for
the AISSE held in March 2020 were declared successful. 9 students scored 90% and above. 45 students scored above 80%.
V.Megha Lasya stood first among the students with 96.6%. Kundana Reddy scored 96.4% for the next place. Lohitha stood
third. Kundana and Lohitha scored 100% in Mathematics. Kundana also scored 100% in Computer Applications. They
were awarded merit certificates by CBSE. My heartiest congratulations to all these students whose efforts have been
crowned with success.
Academic excellence has been just one agenda of the NBPS curriculum which mostly results in attaining intellectual
development. Our school firmly believes in the holistic development of a child and that’s where co-curricular activities
th
come in. Our students participated in the event the 4 International Youth Festival organized by City Montessori School,
Lucknow. Winning 5 prizes in total NBPS won the overall championship in this International event. Our students participated
and bagged a plethora of prizes and rewards at national and international levels in a variety of competitions on virtual
mode.
NBPS has a dynamic environment to bring out the best of every student in a holistic manner. School focuses not only on
academics but also on extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. The school celebrated all the National festivals like
Independence Day, Republic Day, Grandparents’ Day, Teachers’ day and Children’s Day on online mode with great respect
and devotion to the country and to the country men. Kindergarten students celebrated their Colour Concept days. Motive
of celebrating Colour Concept day is to create awareness in children on different colours. Through these activities children
develop psychomotor and cognitive skills. Our tiny tots looked beautiful with their coloured attires.
Each academic year, trainings, seminars and orientation programmes are conducted for teachers and with a dual focus
to improve and effectively implement innovative ideas in teaching-learning practices as well as to take the students beyond
their current level of learning. We arranged a series of staff trainings this year.
The school gives due recognition to significant global events and celebrate these days. Some of these events are International
Women’s day, Hindi Divas, Yoga Day, Science Exhibition etc. All these events were celebrated on virtual platform.
As we are passing through an unprecedented crisis situation in the year 2020 we are confident that we will overcome all
the odds by our strong will and ethics and pave the way for the betterment of the education fraternity and the society soon.
Before I conclude this report I would like to quote an extract
“The woods are Lovely, dark and deep, But we have promises to keep
And miles to go before we sleep, And miles to go before we sleep”.
