Programmes and functions:

- The Mothers-Teachers Get-together with mothers of LKG kids was held on 14 July’19 with the objective of
Sharing & Caring. Meeting focused on the right parenting and mother-teacher relationship.

- School celebrated 5 International Yoga Day with due fervor and gaiety on 21 June. Yoga instructor Mrs
Vijaya Lakshmi conducted an hour long yoga practice programme and enlightened the children on the
benefits of yoga.

- State of the art Indoor stadium was inaugurated with a formal function on 5 Aug’19. The two world class
Badminton courts in the stadium are fully operational now.
- Students of Nava Bharat schools felicitated their gurus in a befitting function arranged during Teachers’ Day

celebrations held on 5 Sep’19. The function reflected the richness of Indian culture.

- Grandparents day was celebrated on 9 Sep’18 with the impressive gathering of grandparents of Class II
students. School felicitated the noted novelist and grandparent Sri Seeramsetty Kantha Rao on the occasion.
Academic Incharge Mrs G.Latha and her team arranged a number of activities to make the function
wholesome.

- School paid rich tributes to the father of the nation mahatma Gandhiji on his 150 Birth anniversary. A week

long programmes were arranged celebrating Mahatma from 23 Sep to 1 Oct’19.
- Nava Bharat Schools celebrated their 41 Annual Sports Day on 7 December 2019. Mr Rajat Kumar Saini,

IAS, District Collector , Bhadradri Dist graced the function as Chief Guest while Mr Ch. Manikanta, Asian
Medalist in Fencing was the Guest of honour. The function rightly reflected the good team work of the staff
and sporting talents of the students.
- NBPS conducted Scholastic India’s ‘One Nation Reading Together’ exercise on 24 January,2020. Entire

school involved in reading story books for half an hour.
- Joy of learning programmes for Class VII are doing wonders in the school. They are throwing great learning
opportunities to our students and wonderful platforms to showcase the talents of the hosts.

- 12 edition of School Magazine ‘Navayug’ was released in the month of April’19. It mirrors all events and
achievements of the school and also provides a creative platform to the students to showcase their latent
talents.
- School believes and preaches the slogan ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness’. Our students launched an activity
titled Swachch Nava Bhart. Every Wednesday one class engages itself in campus cleaning activity covering all
wings of the school alongwith their teachers. It is instilling a sense of belongingness and the spirit of cleanliness
among students.
Achievements:
- Our students bagged good number of prizes in Bhadradri Balotsav held in Bhadrachalam and VVIT Balotsav
held in Guntur. NBPS bagged 10 prizes in Bhadradri Balotsav while the prizes tally was 24 in VVIT Balotsav.
Students also won 6 prizes in Telangana Balotsav conducted in Kothagudem.
- Besides excelling in intramurals, our students have shown their might in external competitions. Our students
performed very well in Unified Council English Olympaid UIEO and Science Olympiad NSTSE. M.Kundana

Reddy of Class X secured 16 National rank while M.Jagad Abhislok of V B scored 45 National rank. 6
other students scored ranks below 100 in English Olympiad.
- Students also performed excellently well in Science Olympiad NSTSE. We feel proud to declare that our
Class I students M.Venkateswara rao and Shaik Maheer Numan stood first in Telangana state in NSTSE.
Jagad Abhislok and Y.Samhith secured state 4 ranks and 7 more students scored below 100 ranks in

Science Olympiad. We congratulate all these students for securing envious ranks in these highly competitive
exams.
- 11 students won prizes in the Essay writing and Slogan writing competitions conducted by NABARD on the
occasion of Vigilence Awareness Week.

- 5 students appeared for National Anveshika Experimental Skill Test on 6 Aug at district level and two
students- P.Harshini and Lohitha Padmavathi of Class X got selected for the state level competition.
- S.Megha Sree-IX and B.Bhavya Sree-VIII under the guidance of Mentor Mrs G.Latha participated in CBSE
Regional Science Fair held in Hyderabad from 25 & 26 Nov. Their project Defora under the theme
