-   Several students in the school evince interest in classical dances Bharat Natyam and Kuchipudi. Students
               bagged  a plethora of awards in dance competitions and on various platforms.
           Sports and Games:
           -   NBPS teams participated in CBSE Cluster, Zonal and National level inter school tournaments. Carrying
               forward the legacy, our athletes won medals in CBSE Athletic meets. Our star sprinter Kundana Reddy and
               long distance runner Lasya Priya participated in CBSE National Athletic Meet in Chattisgarh. Our school girls
               relay team clinched a silver medal and a bronze medal in relay races.
           -   Aravind Kumar of Class IX played for Telangana state team in Sub-Jr National football tournament.
           -   Our Yoga team Akshara, Adhira, Hima Sri & Geeta Varshini made it to Yoga records book by performing
               halasana & natarajasana.
           -   Our student martial artists won numerous medals in Dist, State, and national level Karate championships at
               various venues.
           -   Good number of students participated in chess tournaments and fetched cash awards and prizes. Krapa
               Karthikeya secured a FIDE Ranking of 1057 showing excellent performance in all the tournaments.
           -   Shiva Manoj Ranga Reddy & Zain Khan excelled in Kick Boxing and karate events

           -   NBPS won the overall championship in HOL Badminton & Chess tournaments held on 30  Oct in the
               school.
           Enrichment programmes:
           -   50 staff members of the school were taken to a visit to Open cast and Under ground mines of Singareni
               colleries on 13  July’19. It was an enriching experience to the staff which provided them with several inputs

               about coal mining.
           -   Educational tours expand the horizons of the young minds. Class X students were taken to an educational

               tour to hill stations – Mahabaleswar, Lonavala and Khandala of Western Maharastra from 2  to 7  Oct’19.
               Visiting the places in western ghats was an enriching experience to students.
           -   LKG students spent a day in Central Park as a part of their picnic on 25  Nov’19. Tiny tots enjoyed the day

           -   UKG & Class I students went on an outing on 27  Nov’19 to Pragathi vanam at Rudrampur. It was a power
               packed entertainment for the kids on the day.
           -   School sponsored 12 students to the workshop on Telugu katha rachana and kavitha rachana in Kothagudem
               club on 10  & 11  Aug’19. Lohitha Padmavathi bagged 1  Prize in Kavitha rachana competition conducted

           -   10 students of Class VIII & IX escorted by Mrs Gomati & Mrs RLS participated in Geofest 2019 held  in CMS,

               Lucknow from 14  to 19  Nov’19. 70 top ranking schools from all over India and 4 other countries participated
               in Geofest in which several creative competitions were conducted.
           -   Students witnessed an enrichment show about celestial bodies in a Mobile planetarium on 12 & 13 Dec’19
               arranged by Cosmic Cruise agency.
           -   Bhavya Sree & Megha Sree with their Mentor Mrs G.Latha participated in CBSE National Science Fair held
               in Sun City International School, Gugram from 16  to 19  Jan’20. Our exhibit Defora received appreciation

               from all quarters.
           Outreach programmes:
           -   NBPS students upheld the spirit of charity by donating a considerable quantity of clothes, utensils, stationery
               and provisions to oldage homes in Kothagudem and children home in Paloncha in their Jai Jagat Charity
               drive this year. Students visited Jyothi Vruddhasramam in Chethakonda, Sneha Vruddhasramam in
               Kothagudem and donated provisions, clothes and utensils. A group of students escorted by their teachers
               visited Yuvasena Children Home in Paloncha and donated clothes, provisions and stationery to the orphan
               children. This program was aimed at sensitizing our children of their social responsibility. Staff and students of
               Nava Bharat always stand in the fore front for the cause of under privileged people. “Jai Jagat”.
           Staff training:
           -   Professional development of teachers is an on- going programme at our school. We have been deputing
               teachers for orientation programmes arranged by CBSE and other agencies periodically.
           -   Principal ( myself) attended a CBSE Training programme in DPS, Nacharam on 22  & 23rd May’19.
